Meet Tutorey: tuition and coaching management, made in Bangladesh

Tutorey is live. Here is what our app for tutors and coaching centres does — attendance, fees, online admission, reminders and exams — who it is for, and what it costs.

Tutorey is now live. It is the first SaaS product we have built and run ourselves at OvroIT: an app for private tutors and coaching centres that replaces the attendance khata, the fee notebook and the endless WhatsApp reminders.

Why we built it

Tutorey started because a tutor we know spent the first week of every month working out who had paid, from a notebook that had been rained on. Teaching is the easy part. Registers go missing, two or three guardians forget to pay every month, and reminding forty families means forty messages typed by hand.

We wanted one place for all of it, built around how tutors in Bangladesh actually work — bKash, Nagad and Rocket, Bangla and English, and phones with patchy internet.

What Tutorey does

  • Attendance in three taps — Open a batch, mark who came, save. It works without internet, and every month becomes a proper register you can download as a PDF.
  • Fees, dues and receipts — Record payments by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank or cash against the right student and month. Tutorey works out who has paid and who is still due.
  • Students pay you online — Each student has a private page showing what is due. They pay your own bKash, Nagad or Rocket number and send the transaction ID; you confirm with a tap. Tutorey never holds your money.
  • Reminders — Class reminders before every batch, and fee reminders by email, by SMS in Bangladesh, or as a ready-written WhatsApp message sent from your own number.
  • Online admission — Share one registration link on Facebook or WhatsApp. New students fill in their details and photo, and you approve them with a tap.
  • Exams and results — Set a paper for a batch, enter the marks on one screen, and results appear on each student’s page.
  • A team for your coaching — Teachers, assistants and a manager get their own logins, and a teacher sees only their own batches.
  • Income and expenses — Rent, salaries and bills sit beside the fees you collect, so you can see what is really left at the end of each month.

Who it is for

Private tutors running home tuition or a few evening batches can use Tutorey free for up to 10 students. Coaching centres with many batches, teachers and admissions get a login for every teacher, online admission and the whole centre’s collections in one place.

Students and guardians do not need to install anything. Only you and your team use the app; each family gets a link to their own page that opens in any browser.

What it costs

Tutorey is free for up to 10 students and one batch, with no time limit and no card. Paid plans cost ৳3 a student a month:

  • ৳150 a month — up to 50 students (Pro)
  • ৳450 a month — up to 150 students (Institute)
  • ৳900 a month — up to 300 students (Institute)
  • More than 300 — a custom package at the same price per student

Pay yearly and two months are free.

Offline, bilingual and private

Attendance, new students and payments save on your phone straight away and sync when you have a signal, so a weak connection never stops a class. Every screen, message and receipt works in Bangla and English. Data travels encrypted, no other tutor can see your students, it is never sold, and you can lock the app with a PIN or your fingerprint.

Getting started

Most tutors are taking attendance on Tutorey the same night they sign up: create your batches, add your students or share your admission link, set the monthly fee, and teach. Tutorey is on Google Play, available as a direct Android download, and works in any browser — the iPhone app is on the way.

Tutorey is new, and the team answers every message personally. If you try it and something is wrong, tell us.

Tutorey is free for up to 10 students — no card needed.
